Having just flown into town the previous evening, Britney Spears was hard at work in Miami, Florida on Friday afternoon (January 29).

Wearing a pretty pink sweater while joined by her trusty security staffer, the “Womanizer” singer made her way to a recording studio to work on new material.

She has since written some of the biggest pop hits of the last decade, including “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” by Kylie Minogue, “Toxic” by Britney Spears, and “I Kissed A Girl” by Katy Perry.

Where is she now? Still churning out the hits for other artists (she’s working on Britney’s forthcoming album) and is rumoured to be releasing her first single, called “Killer Love”, since 1997.

So much for staying shacked up at the Mondrian Hotel all alone with her assistant Brett!

Britney Spears started off her day around 11 a.m., first stopping by a music studio on Wilshire – where she was working on her latest album! So excited for that, natch. Then our girl was dropped off in Bev Hills for a little retail therapy…

Our photogs on the scene say that Brit “seemed relieved to get out of the house,” or in this case, her hotel!, and that she “appeared to be in better spirits than in recent days.”

Then Britney stopped at Pottery Barn for some moderately priced home furnishings and afterward, headed to the Chateau Marmont around 2:45 pm.

Jason Trawick was there waiting for her. The two just left the hotel together in the same car — Brit’s bodyguard driving Jason’s car and Jason chauffeuring Britney in her car. They stopped at Jason’s house to pick up what appeared to be an overnight bag for him and then headed to Britney’s house!

Up & coming electro-pop writer/producer/artist Jon Asher has opened up a little about Britney Spears’ upcoming seventh studio album. The 21-year-old was recently contacted by Spears and her management and asked to submit material for the highly-anticipated project, which is due out sometime later this year.

For now, I’ve only submitted songs for the next album. I’m trying to develop an exciting new sound for her. Give Britney more of an “Epic” feel.

And how exactly does Jon define “Epic”?

Epic Pop is a genre that I am pioneering at the moment. Music that has meaning. It’s not your everyday pop love bug sound. Its upbeat rhythms and sounds with meaningful emotional lyrics that people can feel. Something that truly moves you.

Jon also happens to be a huge Britney fan, so which of the singers albums are his favorite?

I’m caught between Blackout and In the Zone. “Unusual You” from the Circus album and “Break the Ice” from her Blackout album [are my favorite Britney songs]

Well, this is HUGE news!

We’ve just been given word that Britney is expected to release her 7th studio album in June 2010. Britney is set to head back into the studio in the coming months once she wraps up her Australian Circus tour. This album will also complete the current contract with Sony Music (Jive).

Britney Spears will release the follow-up to 2008’s Circus in late spring 2010, it has been confirmed.

According to her record label Jive, the singer is working towards a May release for her seventh studio album.

US songwriter Sean Garrett recently confirmed that he is penning material for the new record.

The 27-year-old is also expected to team up with Max Martin, who wrote previous hits including ‘…Baby One More Time’, ‘If U Seek Amy’ and current single ’3′.

Working hard to make the album what he called “bulletproof,” Garrett said despite his proven track record of hit writing, he feels like an underdog on his solo effort. Lily Allen just confirmed in her ELLE magazine interview that she will be collaborating with Britney on her next album:

“I Love her, she’s the Queen of Pop, I wrote a song for her next album… But I can’t say more.”

Additionally, sources are claiming that Diplo and Amanda Blank will also be featured on the lp, which is slated for a 2010 release.

OMG, it’s early and I’m super tired but after 3 listens, I already love 3. It’s definitely a club banger and the chorus is so sick, it’s my favorite part of the song. Anyway, enough about what I think. Listen and enjoy it for yourself.

PS. WTF is wrong with the people who reviewed this song? “It sounds like Womanizer and Gimme More combined”, “it’s more Womanizer than IUSA and Gimme More” … No, just no. If anything, in my opinion it’s more Mannequin, Mmm Papi and Brave New Girl combined.

I still can’t believe we’re getting a new song tomorrow. It’s so surreal. The song, according to Britannica, is up-tempo along the lines of ‘If U Seek Amy’ and ‘Womanizer’ and the lyrics push the envelope a bit and will probably give that ‘If U Seek Amy’ bashing news anchor a run for her money.

Sounds really good, doesn’t it? Can’t wait!

To launch the special package a brand new single entitled “3,” which Britney recently recorded with hitmaker Max Martin, will go to radio Tuesday, September 29.

The ultimate fan box set will also include a special booklet featuring iconic images and fun facts about each track.
